Our Nations, Our Journeys

Learn all about the conference
Below is an example of how we highlight these important Indigenous centered components: our previous Our Nations, Our Journey Conference which occurred in 2023 on the Shakopee Mdewakanton Territory at Mystic Lake Conference Center, Prior Lake, Minnesota.

The Our Nations, Our Journey Conference was hosted on June 27-28, 2023 with the main mission including, Healing from the Opioid Epidemic through Strengths-based Approaches and Data Sovereignty. Through this conference we were about to unite attendees nationwide, all representing various tribes and organizations. While in attendance, they were able to accomplish the following:

  • Build new, mutually beneficial opportunities to network and engage with others
  • Created a shared understanding and vision for American Indian and Alaska Native (population) health
  • Discovered imperatives for change through dialogue and exchange
  • Explored solutions and opportunities for Indigenous health systems transformation
  • Made recommendations that can facilitate change and inspire action
